These work but only if nasal blockage is causing the problem. If it’s a problem with your palate, tongue, or even if your nose is congested from allergies or illness then they will NOT work.

3. The spray. Of all the stop snoring remedies this one is by far the most effective. Most of them are all-natural (if you decide to purchase a spray make sure it is all-natural) and they work relatively quickly. They clear out your airways and allow you to begin having snore free nights.

So how are you supposed to know which one to buy (or if you should buy one at all)?

Well, I actually purchased one and with the help of my beautiful wife set about finding out whether or not these snoring remedies actually worked.

What The Stop Snoring Chin Strap Is Supposed To Do

The chin strap is actually a jaw supporter. It is designed to keep your lower jaw in an upward position so that your airway space is increased. This increase in your airway reduces the velocity of air that passes through your airway thus reducing the vibration of the soft tissue. This reduction in vibration greatly reduces or even eliminates snoring.

So that’s what it is supposed to do. What did the one that I purchased actually do?

What It Actually Did

The anti snore chin strap that I purchased cost me around $50 and I got it off of Amazon. It had a few decent reviews (which is not always good because anybody can write them so what would stop the manufacturer from writing a few positive reviews to increase sales) so I went ahead and purchased it. I can tell you that it worked pretty well.

So, I suppose I just let the cat out of the bag. This snoring cure really works. In fact I found it to be so comfortable that it only took me a few minutes before I fell asleep with it on. And when I fell asleep it prevented me from snoring.

The snoring chin strap that I wore was really tight around my head at first but since it was adjustable I let it out a bit and after I did that the tightness went away. The only problem I encountered was on the first morning after wearing it my jaw was a little sore. But this went away after the first night.

And not only did I sleep without snoring but my wife slept through the night without being woken up by snoring (and that’s more important than anything else ).

So the bottom line is that the stop snoring chin strap that I purchased did work for me. Will it work for you? I say give it a shot and see if it can make your nights snore free like it did for me.

If you are suffering from snoring and looking for a cure then you’ve probably stumbled across a few ads for the snore reduction pillow. I get a lot of email from people asking me if these snoring devices actually work so I tried one of the more popular models out.

How It’s Supposed To Work

The snore pillow is designed to keep proper alignment of your neck and head, keep your jaw in a forward position, and keep your chin elevated from your chest so that your airway is open (slight closing or obstruction of the airway is the major cause of snoring). When the pillow keeps the airway unobstructed it reduces the vibrations caused by the passage of the air you inhale.

There are different kinds of these stop snoring pillows available. Some are designed to keep you sleeping on your side (some people snore because they sleep on their back which causes the tounge to fall backwards partially blocking the airway). The no snore pillow created to keep you on your side is designed to be put behind your back while you sleep on your side. This is supposed to prevent you from turning over onto your back at night. I did not try this specific type of pillow out but I was thinking why purchase a new and expensive pillow when you could do this with a regular pillow you already own?

Another type of snore reduction pillow is one that is designed to be placed between your legs so that your spine is properly aligned. This alignment is supposed to keep your airway properly opened but I’m not sure I see how that would work. I didn’t try this pillow out and I probably will not in the future.

The pillow I did actually buy and use myself was a pillow that was designed for back sleeping use. I was a snorer for a long time and my problem was I always slept on my back so I was curious to see if this pillow would work.

The back snore reduction pillow is designed to keep your chin raised, jaw forward, and head and neck aligned perfectly with your spine. The pillow was made out of synthetic foam which supposedly is better for holding its shape when you sleep on it all night.

Does The Pillow Actually Work?

Yes and no. My wife told me that I was snoring off and on throughout the night (she’s my partner in crime when i’m doing all of these product tests). I suppose it’s better than snoring ALL night. There were some other problems I found as well. I didn’t think the pillow was at all comfortable. It felt like a really hard sofa cushion. I prefer to have a soft pillow and I just could not get used to the hard snore reduction pillow. Also, I toss and turn a lot and I would wake up ever so often because the pillow was designed to keep me from doing so and I would clash with it.

So, the bottom line is that the pillow seemed to work OK but there are other options available that are much more effective (and don’t require you to be uncomfortable).

Another neat little trick is to sew a tennis balll or another type of ball into the back of a shirt (which will prevent you from rolling over). Try this trick in conjunction with the spray and see how quickly you stop snoring.

3. Lose weight. If you are overweight then it may be one of the main reasons why you are snoring. Having excess fatty tissue around the neck puts pressure on your airways which leads to snoring.

4. Don’t take antihistamines before going to bed. Antihistamines, sleeping pills, and alcohol all have the same effect on your body.
